Advani rules out talks on J&K
NEW DELHI, Oct 22 — Union Home Minister L.K. Advani does not see any fresh prospects of talks with either the Hizbul Mujahideen or the All-Party Hurriyat Conference for finding a solution to the protracted Kashmir problem.

India beat Zimbabwe by 13 runs
SHARJAH, Oct 22 — In a nail-biting finish, India choked Zimbabwe in the final overs and beat them by 13 runs after brilliant bowling by the new find Zaheer Khan.

PM says bye to Breach Candy
MUMBAI, Oct 22 — It was goodbye time at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. As the crowds gathered, flowers thrown and nurses sang a farewell song composed by them, Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, left the hospital where he was admitted on October 9 for knee joint replacement surgery.

Sardinha asked to seek trust vote
PANAJI, Oct 22 (PTI) — Goa Governor Mohammed Fazal tonight asked Chief Minister Francisco Sardinha to seek a vote of confidence in the state Assembly on Tuesday, two days after his coalition government was reduced to minority following of withdrawal support by its key ally BJP.

NEW DELHI, Oct 22 — The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today reiterated that the Supreme Court had no locus standi on deciding the Ayodhya temple issue and announced a series of programmes in the run-up to construction of Ram Temple at the disputed site.
