Thailand to free Chhota Rajan
BANGKOK, Oct 5 (PTI) — The Thai authorities have decided to free Mumbai underworld don Chhota Rajan from detention and allow him to leave the country while blacklisting him to for-reentry as the deadline to India to formally request for his extradition expired today. However, his release was delayed as the documents to free him could not be signed amidst reports that a Mumbai police team had arrived in the city, giving rise to speculation that efforts were underway to seek his extradition to India.

RDX seized
RAJKOT, Oct 5 (UNI) — The Kutch police has seized 25 kg of deadly explosive RDX, allegedly brought in from Pakistan, from the hillocks near Bial village in Nakhtrana taluka of Kutch district in Gujarat. The Kutch police today said on receiving the information about the consignment a few days ago a special task force was pressed into action which seized the explosives and other material abandoned at an isolated place around Bial village. They also traced the footprints of a camel on which the consignment was brought. The authorities later managed to locate a camel in the nearby area.
