Dance competition for 'Nirdosh'
kids LUDHIANA, Aug 30 Students of "Nirdosh", a school for mentally challenged children, run by the Inner Wheel Club of Ludhiana, danced with gay abandon to the strains of popular songs such as "Tunak Tunak" and "Maine payal hai chchankai" at a dance competition held in the school here today. After a prayer Ms Veena Bhandari, president of the club, called the house to order and the secretary of the club, Ms Manjula Jain, informed the house that "Nirdosh" was doing well, despite a shortage of funds. The chief guest, Mr Rajeev Raizada, in his address quoted Mr J.R.D. Tata to say that the most significant contribution organised industry could make was to identify itself with the life and problems of the people. Isha, Sahil and
Prabhdeep won the first, second and third prizes in the
dance competition. In the fancy dress competition the
prizes were won by Gagan, Prince and Arjun. The prizes
were sponsored by Sri Ram Finance and Camlin. Dr Tah of
Sutlej Hospital offered medical services to the students. |
