Advani on autonomy
NEW DELHI, June 26 (PTI) — The Government will consider the issue of granting autonomy to Jammu and Kashmir, Home Minister L.K. Advani said today. “The resolution has been adopted by the state Assembly. The government will consider the issue and I mean the entire government as a whole,” Mr Advani told reporters here when he was asked to comment on the passage of a resolution on the issue by the state Assembly in Srinagar today.

Graves damaged
HYDERABAD, June 26 (PTI) — Two graves in a Christian cemetery on the city outskirts were found damaged today, the police said. According to Ranga Reddy, District Superintendent of Police, Surendra Babu, some miscreants removed the crosses from two graves in the cemetery at Sahebnagar near Vanasthilipuram a few days ago. However, the cemetery watchman lodged the complaint only today, he added.
