FIR cancelled in missing baby case
SAS NAGAR, June 26 — The Judicial Magistrate, Kharar, Ms Neelam Arora, has ordered cancellation of a First Information Report (FIR) registered by the local police in connection with the case of a nine-month old child, Sahib Singh, who has been missing from the township since June, 19. The child had been recovered on Saturday by the police from Ludhiana.

LUDHIANA, June 26 — A minor domestic help in the house of a shoe factory owner in Jalandhar is alleged to have been forcibly taken away by his employer after he failed to pay Rs 10,000 that he had taken as advance from them.

Satluj Hospital in troubled waters
LUDHIANA, June 26 — The controversy over the removal of Dr Balbir Singh Sekhoon from the Board of Directors of Satluj Hospital refuses to die down with Dr Sekhoon trying to hit back. Dr Sekhoon was removed from the Board of Directors by a majority vote at a meeting held in the first week of May. Dr Sekhoon has reportedly sought the help of the police as he has been alleging victimisation at the hands of other board members.
