AP Cong expels 2 ex-ministers
HYDERABAD, May 7 (PTI) — The Andhra Pradesh unit of the Congress today expelled former ministers Jalagam Prasada Rao and Malladi Swamy and three others for six years from the party for anti-party activities. The APCC president, Dr Y.S. Rajasekher Reddy, expelled them for their anti-party activities in the Assembly and the Lok Sabha elections held in September last year, according to a statement issued from the party here.

Resignation accepted
PATNA, May 7 (UNI) — The Bihar Governor, Mr Vinod Chandra Pande, has accepted the resignation of the state Minor Irrigation Minister, Mr Jai Prakash Narayan Yadav, from the Rabri Devi government today. According to Raj Bhavan sources, the Governor accepted the resignation of Mr Yadav, who submitted his papers yesterday after a special court issued a non-bailable warrant against him in connection with the fake B.Ed degree scam. Sources said the resignation letter was forwarded to the Governor by the Chief Minister, Ms Rabri Devi, last night.
