Missing US
laptop
WASHINGTON,
April 22 (PTI) US officials have admitted that the
laptop computer, which went missing some months ago,
contained some of the USAs most prized secrets,
including code word information, a
classification higher than top secrets. Efforts to trace
the laptop have so far been unsuccessful.
Curfew to be
lifted
VARANASI,
April 22 (PTI) With the situation fast returning
to normal, curfew would be completely withdrawn from
tomorrow morning in some areas, including Ramapura to
Godowlia, Sonarpura to Shivala and Shivala to Bhelupura
crossing, in the violence-hit city, District Magistrate
Alok Kumar said tonight.
Paramilitary
forces
AGARTALA,
April 22 (UNI) The Union Home Ministry will
despatch some paramilitary forces to Tripura soon to
intensify the ongoing anti-insurgency operation in the
state, where militancy was on the rise before the
autonomous district council polls. An official spokesman
told mediapersons here today that Tripura Chief Minister
Manik Sarkar returned here from New Delhi this morning
after meeting Union Home Minister L.K. Advani yesterday.
Indian fishermen
freed
KARACHI,
April 22 (ANI) As many as 22 Indian fishermen
lodged in various Pakistan jails for 13 months were
released today. The fishermen were detained first by the
Iranian authorities from international waters in February
last year and later pushed them to the Pakistani
territory.
