Snow in Shimla
SHIMLA, March 12 (UNI) — Shimla and its adjoining areas besides tourist resorts of Kufri, Fagu, Narkanda and the upper areas of the district and higher reaches in Himachal Pradesh experienced heavy snowfall today. High-altitude areas in the tribal districts of Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur and Pangi valley in Chamba district had snowfall today. The 13050-feet-high Rohtang Pass, gateway to Lahaul-Spiti district and the majestic Dhauladhar mountain ranges, facing the Kangra valley, also experienced heavy snowfall.

Satara rocked
KOYNA (Maharashtra), March 12 (UNI) — An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale rocked Satara district late tonight, damaging several houses and other property, but no casualty was reported. The tremor, with its epicentre nearly 39 km away from the Koyna Dam, shook the region around 11.35 pm.Top
