Nov 27 The Panjab University syndicate
today recommended that the retirement age of all
categories of employees, including the
non-teaching staff, should be enhanced from 60 to
62. The agenda for enhancement of retirement age
initially included assistant registrar, deputy
registrar and joint controller of examination. |

Nov 27 Prof Rajinder Nath Dogra, a noted civil
engineer and founder Principal Director of Indian
Institute of Technology, New Delhi, died here tonight. He
was 91.

Nov 27 Faced with the problem of disposing plastic
bags in the town, the local Municipal Council is
contemplating to ban use of polythene bags.
4 CTU buses impounded
SAS NAGAR,
Nov 27 The District Transport Officer, Ropar,
today impounded at least four buses of the Chandigarh
Transport Undertaking in the town for plying without
valid permits.
