Forget water augmentation scheme
Existing supply sufficient, Centre tells MCC
CHANDIGARH, May 20 — The revised plan for the Phase IV of the augmentation of water supply scheme at Kajauli village, near here, seems to have run into rough weather following a communique from the Central Government to the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh stating that the existing water supply was sufficient to meet the needs of the city for the next over 20 years.

Police not pursuing Kiran petition, says IGP

CHANDIGARH, May 20—A heated debate is likely at the Syndicate meeting scheduled for May 25 in the case of seven ineligible students having been wrongly admitted to various courses of Panjab University. While five cases pertain to admissions in the 1998-99 academic session , two cases each are from the 1995-96 and 1996-97 sessions, respectively.
