Rescuers sight floating bodies
Srinagar, September 11
As massive relief and rescue operations are under way in flood-ravaged Srinagar, local rescuers and volunteers from various areas have sighted bodies floating at many places in the inundated city. There is, however, no official word on the casualty figures after the flood water marooned Srinagar city on Sunday.

Rabia’s liver was on the verge of collapse till yesterday. Famished, running high fever, urine infection and jaundice, she has been given a new lease of life by the Indian Army. Airlifted from flood-ravaged Awantipura to 92 Base Hospital in Badami Bagh Cantonment in Srinagar, the 16-year-old girl from Tral area in Pulwama district is showing signs of improvement now.
