New Delhi, May 8
Just before the final phase of polling on May 12, it turns out that BJP prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi, who has been underlining his backward status far too often these days, is not a born backward. Giving a dramatic twist to the ongoing “neech rajniti” debate with Modi, the Congress today produced documentary evidence to show that the Gujarat Chief Minister was a “fake OBC”; that he used his high office as the CM to declare his caste as backward and all that happened in 2002. By this calculation, Modi is only a 12-year-old OBC.
