Party says no legal taint on former Railway Minister

New Delhi, March 13
After days of intense deliberations on whether to give in to the public perception of tainted candidates, the Congress today named former Railway Minister Pawan Bansal its candidate for Chandigarh, a segment he has represented in the Lok Sabha for four terms since 1991 and for 15 years continuously since 1999.

New Delhi, March 13
The BJP today released a list of 97 candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. It comprised the least controversial constituencies and names, including that of 27 sitting MPs and two Rajya Sabha members — Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Faggan Singh Kulaste.

HC confirms death penalty to 4 convicts
New Delhi, March 13
The Delhi High Court today upheld the death penalty awarded to the four convicts for the gang rape and murder of a 23-year-old physiotherapy student in December 2012. The court said if they were not sent to the gallows, then nobody else would deserve to be hanged ever.
