Investment is key to India's goal of becoming global education superpower: Kofi Annan
Bangalore, February 9 (ANI):
Nobel laureate and former United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan said investment is necessary for India's economic growth and for it becoming a global education superpower. Annan was speaking at a ceremony of Infosys Science Awards here and felicitated seven winners for excellence in their field. He also stressed on a number of issues ranging from India's brain drain to providing them opportunities in the country. He further said scientific innovation was underway in the country in the form of information technology. Infosys's founder and chairman NR Narayana Murthy and other officials were also present during the event.



Specially abled take part in marathon for inclusion and equality for all in New Delhi
New Delhi, February 9 (ANI):
Around 2000 runners, including persons with disabilities and active citizens, sportspersons and social media assembled at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here today to run together to promote inclusion and active citizenship. The purpose of the marathon is to create mass awareness



Cultural festival brings together indigenous tribes in Imphal
Manipur, February 09 (ANI):
Artists from various tribes of Manipur showcased their rich culture at the 3rd State Level Tribal Cultural Festival held at the Tribal Research Institute auditorium in Chingmeirong. The three-day-long event "Culture for Peace and harmony" was organised by the institute under the aegis of the Government of Manipur and the Centre's Ministry of Tribal affairs. The festival aimed at bringing different tribes on one platform to provide them a chance to showcase their culture and interact with each other.
