Riot-hit victims in Muzaffarnagar refuse to trust UP government
Muzaffarnagar, Dec 26 (ANI): Victims of the Muzaffarnagar riots lamented over the lack of basic amenities and criticized the state government for negligence as they languish in relief camps. Days after Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, visited the riot-hit district of Muzaffarnagar, the dwellers at the relief camps presented a picture contrary to what political leaders had said. Languishing in makeshift tents without proper facilities, the people are a dejected lot. A camp dweller, Rahim Ahmed said they have been living in deplorable conditions and now do not even trust the authorities as they have not been able to induce any hope of normalcy.
Full planning to provide 700 litres water free to people of Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal Kaushambi, Dec 26 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party Convener Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday claimed that full planning has been done to provide the people of Delhi with 700 litres water free. Kejriwal also said that the Metro lines should be expanded as people of Delhi are happy with it.
All are invited to swearing-in ceremony: Arvind Kejriwal Kaushambi, Dec 26 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal requested all Delhi-ites to attend his swearing-in ceremony on Saturday at the Ramlila Maidan from where he, along with one-time mentor Anna Hazare, had launched a massive campaign in 2011 to demand the Jan Lokpal Bill. The Aam Aadmi Party chief also said that his government will be "searching for honest people."
Will charge money if usage of water exceeds 700 litres: AAP
New Delhi, Dec 26 (ANI): Speaking on providing 700 litres of free water to the people of Delhi, AAP Leader, Manish Sisodia on Thursday said that 700 litre free water would be given to every household but if someone uses even one litre more, then they will have to pay for the whole. He added that they are doing it to curb wastage of water.
