25 test positive for
dengue in Phagwara: Twenty-five patients have tested positive for dengue in the sub-division over the last few days. Confirming the development, Phagwara Senior Medical Officer Dr Jaswinder Singh said this year, 61 dengue cases have been detected in Kapurthala district. A few affected families have put the onus on the local administration, alleging the authorities had failed to check the spread of the virus.

50-yr-old man dies
in road accident: A 50-year-old person was killed on the main road near the DC's residence here on Monday. SHO Harinder Singh said Nachhattar Singh (50), a safai sewak at the local Civil Hospital, was riding a bicycle when he was hit by a tractor-trailer. The driver fled the spot.
