Advertising firms flout Motor Vehicle Act norms

It seems that the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation is in a deep slumber as some private companies are making a quick buck by using mobile vans to display their advertisements on prominent roads of the city. This is not only a violation of the Motor Vehicle Act but, but such advertisements are also banned as per the new advertising policy of the state government.

Paddy procurement smooth, says DC

Deputy Commissioner, Rajat Aggarwal, today informed that paddy procurement is going on in the grain markets of district without any hurdle. According to the press release, issued by DC, the procurement agencies had bought 2,14,846 lakh quintals of paddy till October 21.
