Town continues to grapple with parking problem
Mohali: Like the City Beautiful, Mohali too has been grappling with the parking problem. The gravity of the problem in one of the most advanced towns of Punjab can be gauged by the fact that it has witnessed a murder this February besides at least three shooting incidents over the trivial issue of parking of vehicles in the recent past.

Mohali: From earmarking of space for parking to creation of a multi-level parking facility besides the introduction of a city bus service are some of the solutions suggested by the Commissioner of the local civic body for addressing the parking woes in the town.

Railway reservation counters in name only

Before making a visit to the railway reservation counter to book a ticket one has to gather information about the train number and fare at own level as the offices located both in Sector 17 and 43 are ill-equipped to provide this information. Adding to the woes of the commuters, the inquiry counters at both the reservation offices does not entertain any query nor does they display the helpline numbers to facilitate the passengers.

Former PU VC selected as member of INSA
