Sporting an attitude
Mahie Gill has made slow and steady progress in Bollywood. With each step, she is learning and willing to go the distance…
A few stereotypes break and a few are formed with each step that Mahie Gill takes in Bollywood. With Dev D, she established herself as a mature actor and then landed up with Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster as well as Paan Singh Tomar. Now with an item number in Zanjeer, her phone hasn't stopped ringing with similar offers! Mahie doesn't rue it; she takes it all in her stride, at least as long as appreciation follows. "I lap up whatever would help me get better in Bollywood. I prefer to go with the flow rather than stagnate and wait for the 'right' projects," says the actor, who was in Chandigarh on Wednesday to promote Chandigarh Champions League 2 along with actor Yograj Singh. 'Right', she feels is a very subjective attribute, which changes with time, people and places, and shares what according to her is the 'right' thing to do in Bollywood.

No beating about!

"The song is dedicated to women who go to clubs; drink, make merry and lead a happy life on their own," says Indeep.

Tree talk
Trees are an integral part of landscaping. But one has to know the right tree for the right place
A landscapist is well aware about the principles of planting and placement of other landscape features. It is not that one can plant any and every tree, shrub or climber at a given space. The trees are the permanent features of the landscape. These are like concrete structures that can not be removed when once planted. It is, therefore, very important to make the right selection of species for the right location.

High intensity interval training (HIIT) is an enhanced form of interval training with less intense recovery periods. HIIT is a form of cardiovascular exercise. Usually HIIT sessions may vary from 20-25 minutes. The short, intense workout is ideal for a busy schedule–whether to squeeze in a workout during the lunch break or to get in shape for a fast approaching event. HIIT workouts burn more calories during the day in comparison to a steady pace of run for 60 minutes.

Pulling all the full stops
Actress Keira Knightley has ruled out singing on-screen again following her role in Can A Song Save Your Life, as she was terrified of showing off her vocal skills in the new film. The actress, who plays a folk singer named Greta in the upcoming romantic drama, admits that belting out songs was a traumatic experience that she is unlikely to ever repeat, reported a publication online. “I literally was given the songs about a week before we started shooting. We had to go straight into the studio and I had never sung before and I had to just kind of try and figure it out. So that’s what I did. I’m not going to do it again, that was it. No, no, no, that was my one and only. Come and see this film, that’ll be it,” she said. Knightley previously revealed her husband, Klaxons rocker James Righton, tried to help her learn guitar for the shoot and he wasn’t impressed with her musical performance. “I think he just laughed a lot really. You know saying, ‘Oh yeah, good luck!’,” she said. — PTI
