Manmohan arrives in Russia for G20 summit
St. Petersburg, Sep 05 (ANI): Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh arrived at St. Petersburg in Russia to attend the Group of 20 nations (G20) Summit. Participating countries in this meet are expected to prioritise discussions on the global economic scenario. Leaders of the G20 developed and emerging economies will meet in St. Petersburg on Thursday and Friday.
Senate panel approves resolution on Syria military strikes
Washington DC, Sep 05 (ANI): The U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved a resolution authorizing a limited U.S. military intervention in Syria, setting the stage for a debate in the full Senate next week on the use of military force. The committee voted 10-7 in favor of a compromise resolution that sets a 60-day limit on any engagement in Syria and bars the use of U.S. troops on the ground for combat operations.
Show-cause notice from HRD Ministry a political plan claims Yogendra Yadav
New Delhi, Sep 5 (ANI): Reacting over the show-cause notice from HRD Ministry, Psephologist and senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party Yogendra Yadav on Wednesday said that there seems to be some politics but doesn’t know who is playing the politics. On Wednesday, the HRD ministry sent a showcause notice asking him to explain within a week as to why he should not be removed.
Pakistan decides stern action in violence-plagued Karachi
