Residents go powerless for 6 hrs

Teacher ‘thrashes’ Class X boy 
Ludhiana, July 4
A Class X student of RS Model Senior Secondary School, who was allegedly subjected to corporal punishment, fled from his house and reached the Delhi railway station.

Lack of water supply irks patients at Civil Hospital

Some of the attendants alleged that there was no water even in toilets. A visit of the hospital revealed the depth of the situation when some patients and their attendants alleged that they had to purchase packaged drinking water.

Now, NRHM schemes under direct scrutiny
Ludhiana, July 4
To monitor and provide support to districts and improve the system seven state-level teams have been constituted which will be visiting a primary health centre, a community health centre, and a district hospital at least twice in a week. The action initiated by the State Programme Manager of NHRM has brought the different activities and schemes running under the National Rural Health Mission under direct scrutiny.
