One killed in mishap: Dalel Singh, a resident of Lohar Majra, was killed on the spot when a car hit his bicycle near Lohar Majra, 8 km from here, on Sunday evening. The police has registered a case.
Two held under NDPS Act: The police arrested two persons under the NDPS Act for allegedly possessing 45 gm of smack on Sunday evening. The police said Sukhvinder Singh, a resident of Perhaladpur, and Prem Chand, a resident of Thanesar, were arrested near Indri Chowk, Ladwa, along with their motorcycle for possessing smack. Both of them confessed their crime. The police also seized 18 mobile sets and an LCD from them, besides their motorcycle. Both were remanded in judicial custody by a court yesterday.
