GLADA fails to deposit Rs 20.52 cr education cess

The Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) has earned the wrath of the audit wing for its failure to deposit 5 per cent education cess worth more than Rs 20.52 crore in the treasury on account of the sale of vacant government land between April 2007 and March 2012.

516 medical specialists shifted in state

With the transfers of 516 medical specialists, the State Health Department today witnessed a major reshuffle as these experts have been deputed at 100 health institutions to be converted into fully equipped government hospitals.
