Tyres of two cars stolen: The incidents of tyre thefts are increasing in the city.
Karan Galhotra, a resident of Sector 8-C, today reported that someone had stolen two wheels of his car, which was parked in front of his house. In another incident, Rakesh Garg, a resident of Sector 40, reported that someone had stolen the tyres and alloy wheels of his car (No. CH-04H-9381), which was parked in front of his house.
Man booked for jumping bail: The UT police has registered a case against a drug peddler for jumping bail and not appearing before the court.
A case under Section 229 (A) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at the Sector 36 police station here against
Bablu, a resident of Bhaskar Colony, Sector 25, who did not appear before the court on May 17 in a four-year-old case registered under the NDPS Act against him.

Samba wins in volleyball: The eves of Samba district clinched the U-14 and U-17 volleyball titles in the inter-district volleyball tournament organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Government High School, Ghagwal, on Wednesday. In the U-17 finals, Samba beat Kathua by 3-0. In the
U-14, Samba beat Udhampur by 3-0.

Awareness camp held: Civil Defence Rajouri organised an awareness camp on ‘Earthquake and school fire safety’ at Elite Public Higher Secondary School Saaj in Thannamandi area of Rajouri district on Wednesday. About 120 students and staff members of the school participated in the camp. Suresh Kumar Chib, Dy SP Dy Controller Civil Defence, Rajouri, was the chief guest while school principal Mohd Shabir presided over the function.
