Elderly face inconvenience at PGI OPDs

It seems that senior citizens have lost sympathy and preference of doctors and other staff at the PGIMER. Going by the experiences of two senior citizens who visited the PGIMER’s New OPD Block over the past week, there is rarely any practice in place at the institute that could differentiate the senior citizens from other patients and support them.

Six months on, Social Welfare Board awaits notification

The Chandigarh Social Welfare Board has nothing to show in its performance report even after the completion of six months of its tenure, due to the delay in the issuance of the notification of the board by the UT Administration. Chandigarh: Indian Oil Corporation today launched a call centre based emergency service cell (ESC) for customers of Indane in Chandigarh and Punjab. This emergency service cell will function 24 hours. A customer has to call on a number, 8699247247, and inform about the complaint along with consumer number and contact number. The emergency service cell will then coordinate with the mechanics of the distributors and get the leakage complaint attended.
