In PGI, Pak prisoner remains critical Chandigarh, May 4 Doctors treating Sanaullah at the PGI said he was currently on ventilator and had not shown any sign of improvement. A hospital source, however, said the patient is ‘brain dead’ The three-member delegation of Pakistan High Commission today visited Sanaullah at the PGI. They wanted to know if he could be shifted to Pakistan for treatment. The team of doctors treating Sanaullah ruled out shifting him in view of the high risk involved. The delegates paid several visits to the hospital to closely see the treatment being given to Sanaullah. The delegates first visited the ICU around 3.30 am and met the doctors. Later, they met PGI Director Dr YK Chawla. The doctors said the patient had metabolic alterations and coagulation abnormalities, which are being taken care of by specialists concerned. His blood pressure had been going down, as a result a third Vasopressor had to be pressed into service. Dr SN Mathuriya, Head, Department of Neurosurgery, PGI, said the patient’s neurological status continues to be same as yesterday — in deep coma. He continues to be critically sick, he said. The area around the ICU has a heavy presence of security officials. The ICU gate has been closed for attendants of other patients. Police officials have been deputed at all three entries to the Advanced Trauma Centre where Nasaullah is admitted. Still on ventilator
