Residents woke up to a rainy and chilly day today. It kept raining throughout the day. Water got accumulated on roads, putting commuters to inconvenience.
Residents were seen scurrying to save themselves from the rain.

Sales tax evasion: 214 packets of goods confiscated from
railway station
Ludhiana, February 23
The mobile wing of the sales tax department today confiscated 214 packets of goods from the railway station.
The goods in the packets were not as per the bills. After receiving information from senior officials, Excise and Taxation Officer KS Dhaliwal and ETO Jarnail Ram conducted a raid on the Information Collection Centre
(ICC) at the railway station.

Three booked for trying to kill property dealer
Jagraon, February 23
The police has booked three persons for allegedly trying to murder a property dealer.
The victim, identified as Harpreet Singh, a local resident, was shot in the leg. He was admitted to a hospital. A police team recorded his statement.
Cash, cellphone stolen from bakery
Ludhiana, February 23
A theft took place at Guru Ramdas Bakery near Kapoor Hospital last night.
The police said that unidentified persons broke the shutter with iron rod and entered the bakery. Thieves have stolen Rs 15,000 cash and smart phone from the safe of
