New Delhi, January 25
The government announced the prestigious Padma Award for 2013 on the eve of Republic Day today. Actors Rajesh Khanna and Jaspal Bhatti, and cricketer Rahul Dravid have been selected for Padma Bhushan.

Prof Yashpal and Prof Roddam Narasimha will get Padma Vibhushan.

The awards are given in the field of art, social work, science and engineering, public affairs, trade and industry, medicine, sports, civil service, literature and education, etc. The awards will be conferred on the recipients by the President at Rashtrapati Bhawan in March/April. — Agencies
