3-day free health check-up camp begins today:
The Max Super-speciality Hospital would be holding a free medical camp from January 25-27. The three-day camp being organised on the premises of the hospital will provide free consultation in medical specialties related to eye, ENT (ear, nose and throat) and paediatrics. The camp will be run under the guidance of experts, including ENT consultant Rohit Goyal, consultant eye specialist Jitender Gupta, consultant child specialist Neeraj Ahuja, and paediatricians Gaurav Garg and Pradeep Goyal.

Ludhiana
Two deer rescued:
Two deer were rescued from a canal in Bagowal and Lohara area on Thursday. The forest department officials said the deer had strayed from the forest area and fell in the canal. They were rescued by residents. Both the deer were sent to a zoo, following treatment.

Police announces reward: Six years after a murder accused jumped parole, the police today announced a reward of Rs 25,000. The police said Munaver Ali, a resident of Muzafarpur in Uttar Pradesh (UP), went on parole on May 2007. He never returned.
