R-Day rehearsal: Students' safety takes a back seat

For 175 students of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 38 (West), rehearsing for the Republic Day function at the Sector 17 Parade Ground today meant dancing barefoot on a damaged concrete floor, littered with pebbles and glass pieces enough to give them injuries.

Cops made to shift court material
Chandigarh, January 24
A number of UT police carriers were deployed for shifting furniture, files and other court material to the new District Courts building in Sector 43 from the courts in Sector 17 today. With the new court complex all set to be inaugurated in Sector 43 tomorrow, UT policemen were busy shifting files in police vehicles, otherwise meant for law and order work.

13 bravehearts honoured for exemplary courage

Faulty RLA printer gives applicants blues
