Flyover to miss deadline again
The under-construction flyover in place of Lakkar Bridge connecting Old City with Civil Lines will miss another deadline as the bridge will not be completed by December-end. The pace at which the work is being executed makes it difficult, if not impossible, to complete the project even in the next six months. Industrialist, wife get one-year imprisonment

Vivek Gupta, and his wife Parul Gupta, both directors of Virat Knitwears Private Limited, have been sentenced to one-year imprisonment by a local court. They were found guilty and were convicted for offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, read with Section 420 of the
IPC. A fine of Rs 2,000 each has also been imposed on them, and in the event of default, they will further undergo 15 days imprisonment.
