10-day police custody for AMRI directors

Six of the seven arrested AMRI Hospital owner industrialist RS Goneka (C) in police custody. directors of the AMRI hospital, where 91 persons mainly patients choked to death after a fire, were today remanded to 10-day police custody by a court here, as the defence counsel alleged that he was not allowed to move bail.

Tearful farewell to Dev Anand

Dev Anand, who ruled the hearts of millions of film enthusiasts for over six decades, was today bid a tearful adieu as his mortal remains were consigned to flames amid the tunes of some of his most memorable songs ‘Abhi Na Jao Chor ke’ and ‘Gata Rahe Mera Dil’.
