Yet another fuel scam
16,000 litres ‘missing’ from CITCO-run Sec-9 station
Chandigarh, December 4
Close on the heels of a scam that unearthed the siphoning of more than 18,000 litres of unleaded petrol from the Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Corporation (CITCO)-run petrol station in Sector 56, about 16,000 litres of fuel has gone “missing” from another petrol station of the corporation in Sector 9 here.

16-year-old school student raped 
Lalru, December 4
A 16-year-old schoolgirl of Tofapur village was allegedly raped by a youth of the village. The girl went missing on Saturday morning and was reportedly left at the village by the accused this morning. She was admitted to the Dera Bassi Civil Hospital. The police has started legal proceedings after registering a case following the statement of the victim.

Sameer Bhalla aims during the 26th Haryana State Snooker Championship at Sector 11 in Panchkula on Sunday. Divya Sharma showed Aman Goyal way out, to advance into the quarter-finals of the ongoing 26th Haryana state sub-junior, junior and senior Billiards and Snooker Championship, being held here.
In the senior snooker category, last year’s runner up, Divya Sharma, defeated Aman Goyal by 3-1. Divya started off in a good nod and won the first frame but Aman came back strongly and took a lead at a piece in a second frame.
