Studies of students of government primary schools being run under the zila parishad have been suffering due to a dispute between teachers and the Punjab Government. Since 2009, the students of these schools have been completely cut off from the popular education schemes and policies of the Centre and the state government.

In a similar incident, a 17-year-old boy had gone “missing”, the attempt was made by the boy to extract money from his parents. Besides, about a year ago, two girls from class VI of BCM School had gone to Hardwar to get respite from their “nagging” parents.
