Chandigarh, October 14
The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today indicated that it was in no hurry to expel former Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal from the party, even as it had initiated the process of weaning away his few supporters amongst party legislators. With the government under no threat due to Manpreet’s rebellion, the party has decided to wait till October 20 before taking any further action against the former Finance Minister, according to party disciplinary committee chairman Ranjit Singh Brahmpura.
