Ansari reviews progress of relations with EU leaders
Vice-President Hamid Ansari during his two-day visit to Belgium for the Asia-Europe Meeting on Monday, held discussions with European Union (EU) leaders to review progress of their relations. On the opening day of the summit, Ansari met Herman Van Rompuy, the President of European Council at the King's Palace and reviewed India and EU relations. They also discussed about India-EU Summit, which would be held in December 2010 in Brussels.

Congress Working Committee meeting to discuss Ayodhya verdict
Meeting in the backdrop of the recent Allahabad High court verdict on disputed Ayodhya site,the Congress Working Committee on Tuesday will take stock of the situation and discuss its political fallout to decide the party line on the sensitive issue. The party's highest policy making body, now converted into the Congress steering committee until fresh Congress Working Committee elections, will deliberate on the political import of the Allahabad High Court verdict.

Indian shooters bag 2 golds,silver at Commonwealth Games
Indian men and women shooters on Tuesday hit the bull's eye to give the country two gold medals at the Delhi Commonwealth Games.The men also won silver in the shooting event.India won its first gold when shooting stars Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narang bagged the men's 10-metre Air Rifle Pairs category,on the second day of Games.

Pakistan muzzles media to shut out growing rebellion in PoK
The media in PoK, which has been constantly muzzled by Pakistan's numerous intelligence agencies operating in the Himalayan region have come under attack again for their reportage of the floods.Most have had to face physical assault for their dispatches on the discrimination in providing flood relief and the administration giving a free hand to the Islamists charities, most of them front organizations of the banned terror outfits.
