Two-day police remand for kidnappers

The three youths, who were nabbed on the charges of abducting a six- year- old boy from Chand Nagar in Haibowal on January 17, were remanded in police custody for two days today. DSP Raj Kumar said the trio of Rajneesh Attri along with his accomplice Rajesh Sharma and Mahadev abduct Karan, while he was playing outside his house in Chand Nagar on Sunday.

The Vigilance Bureau today arrested a patwari red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 4,000 from a farmer for permanent allotment of land.
Farmers Chaman Singh and Joginder Singh of Baghian village near Sidhwan Bet had complained to the Vigilance Bureau in Ludhiana that patwari of Baghian village Bhupinder Singh was demanding Rs 4,000 from them for reporting about the facts of area of agriculture land under their possession.
