New wheat seed variety developed

A new variety of high-yielding foundation seed for wheat, DBW-17, released by the Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation (PAFC) is set to replace the state’s old warhorse PBW-343 which is grown over 80 per cent of the area under wheat cultivation in the state.
