Krishanjit is UT chief engineer

The departmental promotion committee (DPC) today selected Krishanjit Singh as the regular UT chief engineer.
According to sources, at its meeting in New Delhi, the DPC selected Krishanjit Singh ahead of S.K. Jaitley.

Home secretary inspects roads

Home secretary Ram Niwas today inspected the ongoing work of roads in Phase-I of the Industrial Area.
He inspected the roads in front of the Centra Mall, the Ordinance Cable Factory, that between Modern Bakery to Junction 39 and another from Hind Motors to Pasco Motors.

The Offstage Ensemble, Moga, staged a Punjabi play “Wrong Number” on the second day of the ongoing TFT national theatre festival at Tagore theatre here today.

Finally, PU hostels get parking space

Finally, the university has started constructing the hostel parking, taking the cognizance of the repeated pleas of hostellers against lack of proper parking space.
The move proves vital considering the fact that earlier, there was no parking for the four-wheelers in most of the hostels. Earlier, two motorcycles were stolen from the Hostel No 4.
