Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and east Rajasthan and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Julanaand New Delhi (Safdarjung) 6 each, Bahadurgarh and Gohana 5 each, Samalkha 4, Dhansa, Dujana, Ganaur, Panipat, Uchana, Jind, Hodal, Ballabhgarh, Faridabad and Pehowa 3 each, Ayanagar, Bhiwani, Tosham, Kolayat, Guhla, Kharkhoda and Delhi Ridge 2 each and New Delhi (Palam), Chhansa, Gurgaon, Narwana, Indri, Kaithal, Sampla and Rohtak 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Una 3 and Mandi, Kahu, Ghamroor, Paonta and Solan 2 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Kukernag 1, Punjab: Patiala and Rajpura 5 each, Ludhiana 3 and Dasuya, Jagraon, Balachaur, Nawanshahr, Dera Bassi and Bathinda 1 each, east Rajasthan (5 cm and above): Baran city 10, Dholpur, Khanpur and Chipaboard 7 each, Dausa and Bharatpur 6 each and Bassi, Deeg, Paroli, Kacholi, Malarna Dungar, Mangrol, Mavali, Chotisadri, Badesar and Nimbahera 5 each, west Rajasthan: Jalore and Jatrain 3 each and Rajgarh, Ahor, Sumerpur and Raipur 2 each, east Uttar Pradesh: Katerniaghat and Shardanagar 1 each, west Uttar Pradesh: Aligarh 5, Mawi 3, Hindon 2 and Baghpat and Jhansi 1 each and Uttarakhand: Haripur and Srinagar 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 20: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Haryana including Chandigarh and Delhi), Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and at a few places in the rest of the region.

Heavy to very heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Isolated heavy rain is likely in Haryana (including Chandigarh and Delhi) and east Rajasthan during the next 48 hours.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Enhanced rainfall activity is likely to continue over the region.
