Body found: An unidentified body of a man was found on a railway track on the Sanetta Bridge here on wednesday. The person seemed to be in his mid-twenties and looked like a beggar. According to Gyan Chand of the railway the police following information given by some onlookers recovered the body this morning. The person was clad in a kurta and pant and seemed to have committed a suicide. 4 arrested: The Sohana police here has arrested four persons for stealing a tube well fan. According to the police the four were on motorcycles and were stopped by the police. But they tried to speed away. They were stopped and arrested by the police. They told the police that they had already taken money from a scrap dealer for the fan.

Hospital staff on strike: The staff of the local civil hospital has been on strike for the past three days following a dispute between a nurse and relatives of a patient. The staff is demanding the arrest of the person, who allegedly misbehaved with the nurse. On the other hand, relatives of the patient have demanded action against the nurse. They met the DC and the civil surgeon and complained against the nurse and a doctor. Due to the strike, patients are facing a lot of hardship.REWARI
Function on Emergency: A special function to honour internees (detainees) of emergency was held under the auspices of the district unit of the BJP’s Mahila Morcha to mark the 33rd anniversary of the emergency here on Wednesday. The emergency detainees honoured on the occasion included former state BJP chief Om Prakash Grover, Manohar Lal Rajpal, Om Prakash Rajpal, Pooran Lal, Parma Nand Nagpal, Dashrath Chauhan, Veer Kumar Yadav and Jadish Sapra. Taxi driver shot at: Two armed miscreants allegedly fired several shots at a taxi driver,
Rohtash, and then dropped him on the Kund-Khol road, 26 km from here, on Wednesday, following which the miscreants took away the taxi, which they had hired from
Narnaul. However owing to some sort of imbalance, the taxi overturned and the miscreants apparently went into the hilly area around Khol village. The driver was referred to the

3 booked for dowry death: The police has registered a dowry case against Praveen, his father and mother of Kharkhoda town for allegedly setting afire Praveen’s wife Sangeeta on June 23. However, no arrest has been made so far. Sangeeta’s father had alleged that she was tortured by her in-laws for bringing less dowry. He also alleged that when he could not meet their dowry demand, they allegedly set her on fire and she succumbed to burn injuries in the PGIMS, Rohtak, on June 24. 2 booked for murder: A suicide case was established as a case of murder after the postmortem examination of the body of Sat Pal (21) of Patla village in the PGIMS, Rohtak. The police has registered a murder case against Ved Pal of the same village and his brother-in-law Jagbir on a complaint filed by the victim’s father, Prem Singh. Pal’s body was found lying in the fields on Sunday and from preliminary investigations it was suspected to be a case of suicide.

10-year RI: Special judge (additional sessions judge) fast track court, Chamba, J. N. Yadav on Tuesday convicted Prem Lal, a resident of Kunda Pargna Himgiri village, district Chamba, for smuggling 3.5 kg charas and sentenced him to rigorous imprisonment for 10 years and to pay a fine of Rs 1 lakh. 2 hurt in mishap: Driver Gurmit Singh from Roshanpura (Patiala) and conductor Shankar were injured when a Leh-bound oil tanker (HR-37-A-7847) fell into a gorge at Deod Morh, near Pandoh, on the Mandi-Manali highway on Wednesday. They were admitted to the local zonal hospital. The tanker was on its way from Chandigarh to Leh, carrying diesel. 3 head constables suspended: Sirmour ASP Bindu Rani Sachdeva said here on Wednesday that three head constables Dhoom Singh, Vajid and Rattan Singh had been placed under suspension in connection with the escape of Raju
Bihari, an inmate of Nahan Model Central Jail, from police custody on June 22. A case had also been registered against Dhoom Singh, who was on duty at the hospital to guard Raju Bihari at the time when he escaped. Raju Bihari was admitted to Nahan hospital on June 17 for the treatment of a skin ailment.
