Marking the largest ever deal in Indian pharma industry, Japanese drug firm Daiichi Sankyo today announced the acquisition of a majority stake of more than 50 per cent in domestic major Ranbaxy for over Rs 15,000 crore. Prized red wheat finds no takers
New Delhi, June 11
It is a problem of plenty. The Centre, which has procured a record 219.60 lakh tonnes of wheat till date for the Central pool this year, is also saddled with around four to five lakh tonnes of red wheat, imported at exorbitant price, to contain the shortfall during the past two years and for which there are no takers.

RBI hikes repo rate by 0.25 pc
Mumbai, June 11
The Reserve Bank of India today increased the repo rate under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility by 25 basis points to 8 per cent from 7.75 per cent with immediate effect, a press statement issued by the apex bank said this evening.
