From among the team of 10 NSS volunteers, Daljit Kaur, a student of GND University, Amritsar, was awarded the Indira Gandhi NSS Award during the 13th National Youth Festival held at Chennai recently. The UT education department has decided to hold the department promotion committee meeting in February in which nine will be promoted as principals.
Headmaster gets dismissal notice

The UT education department has issued a 20-day notice of dismissal to J.S. Lehri, headmaster, Government High School, Halo Majra. Lehri was found absent on the day when the Governor visited the school about three months back.
