ADMA rejects new draft rules for ayurvedic drug makers

The Ayurvedic Drug Manufacturers Association (ADMA) has rejected the draft rules proposed for the ayurvedic drug manufacturers in the country terming them as arbitrary and dictatorial.

Move on migrants’ registration opposed
Ludhiana, December 17
Senior Bhartiya Janata Party leader and former Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Kalraj Mishra today opposed the move of the local administration to register and identify the migrants coming to this place from states like UP and Bihar.

A team of the Special Protection Group (SPG) today oversaw security arrangements at Halwara. This has led to speculation that Dr Manmohan Singh will lay the foundation stone of the controversy-hit international airport project near the Air Force base here.
Sycophancy
has become the hallmark of our political culture. Recent examples being the birthday celebrations of Congress president, Sonia Gandhi on December 9 and that of Mr Parkash Singh Badal on December 8. Politics that ideally should have been driven by commitment to certain principles seems to be defined in terms of the loyalty (read sycophancy) towards a particular leader. The leaders are made to be demigods, if not more than the Gods.

Let us keep poetry and politics away from each other, says Pak poet

Eminent poet from Pakistan, Ata-ul-Haq-Qasmi, believes that politics and poetry were two separate things and these must be kept separate. Mr Qasmi said that he was here to strengthen relationship between the two countries through shayari (poetry).
