Police exhumes body of Delhi trader

A team from the Delhi police today exhumed the body of a tyre-tube trader belonging to the national Capital who was allegedly murdered by four other traders and dumped in specially dug up pit in a house in Jeewan Nagar, Focal Point, here. Business rivalry is being termed as the main motive of the crime.

The soul-stirring recovery of the body of a brutally murdered young girl from a trunk in the Malwa Express recently has refreshed painful memories of an even worse rape and murder of two young sisters whose naked bodies were recovered from two gunny bags while unloading rice husk at Khanna railway station in April, 1996.

She says: "I found my heaven when I received National Child Award from Dr Manmohan Singh in Delhi on November 14. I was overwhelmed when I got the Award for Exceptional Achievement, 2005, for my outstanding achievement in English poetry along with 28 children from all over the country."

Namdhari Academy lift Jagtar trophy
Ludhiana, November 17
Namdhari Academy, Bhaini Sahib, overcame stiff challenge from BKSP Club of Bangladesh, 2-0, to win the title in the 5th All-India Jagtar Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament which concluded at Prithipal Singh Astroturf Stadium of Punjab Agricultural University here today. Both goals were scored in the first half.
