Three Lashkar militants killed

Srinagar, November 11
Three Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants, including a top Commander, were killed and two security personnel injured in Jammu and Kashmir during the past 24 hours, the defence spokesman said today.

He said security forces killed three militants in an encounter at Gondoh in Doda district of the Jammu region last evening.

The slain militants, including a district commander of LeT who was a Pak national, identified as Abu Saif Ullah, were active in the area since 1993, the spokesman said.

People took the streets at Rafiabad in north Kashmir protesting against the death of a driver allegedly by the Army.

Shouting anti-Army and anti-government slogans, the demonstrators alleged that troops of 32 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) killed driver Bashir Ahmad Khan last night.

The demonstrators also blocked traffic, demanding immediate action against the RR personnel for killing the driver.
