Ludhiana, November 8
In a hair-raising incident, the body of a young girl was found locked in a wooden trunk in Indore Express when the train reached the Ludhiana railway station this late evening.

The girl’s body had no injury mark. She seemed strangulated to death. Her mouth was gagged with a piece of cloth. Railway police sources said the cause of the death could be known only after post-mortem which would be conducted tomorrow only.

The body was spotted when railway police personnel were checking a general coach of the Indore Express. The cops inquired about the owner of the wooden trunk, but no one claimed it. The cops broke open the lock and found the body, to the utter shock of passengers.

The police could not ascertain from which station the trunk was loaded. An investigation is on.
