JAGRAON Case registered: Thieves took away gold items from the shop of Suresh Verma of Mullanpur. The police has registered a case. CDs seized: The police has arrested Garish Kumar of Jagraon and seized 30 duplicate CDs and two CDs of blue films. A case has been registered against him. Remanded: Amanjot Kaur, who allegedly killed her newborn daughter on September 14, was produced in the court of Mr Gopal Arora, Judicial Magistrate, Jagraon, and was remanded in police custody till September 22. Amanjot had strangulated her daughter and dumped the body in a septic tank. The body was exhumed on Tuesday by the police from her house at Galib Khurd village. PATIALA Blood donation camp: The fifth Punjab Battalion of the NCC, Patiala, organised a blood donation camp on the campus of JNV School, Fatehpur Rajputtan, in the district, in which 75 units of blood were collected. Lt-Col N.S. Sidhu, Commanding Officer, 5 Punjab Battalion, NCC, Patiala, addressed the audience and impressed on maximising voluntary blood donation. |
