Mandi Ahmedgarh, July 9
A batch of community police officers was flagged off after a brief function at the local police station last evening. Mr Jatinder Bhola, President of the Municipal Council, presided over the function.

The ever-crowded Ghumar Mandi is one of the most poorly managed areas when it comes to parking. People haphazardly park their cars and scooters without bothering about the convenience of others. Even as the traffic police has begun challaning people and made announcements advising people to park properly, it only falls on deaf ears as the problem continues!

And his life story was beautifully narrated in a brilliant narrative by his actress daughter Shabana Azmi and the writer-poet son-in-law Javed Akhtar in the play “Mein aur Kaifi”, which was organised by the Ludhiana Sanskritik Samagam here last night.
