Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Uttaranchal, a few places in Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Himachal Pradesh: Pandoh 5 and Rampur Bushahar, Selan and Solangnala 1 each, East Rajasthan: Sollapat 3, Sagwara and Sajangarh 2 each and Arthuna, Bagidora, Chikli, Danpur, Dhambola, Kesarpura, Kushalgarh and Sabla 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Balmikinagar 1 and Uttaranchal: Dehra Dun and Tehri 2 each and Banbasa and Rishikesh 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of July 7 2006: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, west Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.
